Fundraising Requirement

Horizons for Homeless Children receives bib numbers for the Boston Marathon through the John Hancock Non-Profit Marathon Program. As a member of the John Hancock Non-Profit Marathon Program, there are fundraising guidelines that we must follow. 

All members of the 2018 Run for Homeless Children team are required to raise a minimum of $9,000.

We hope all runners will strive to surpass this minimum by setting goals above the required $9,000. Please note that your projected goal, as stated below, will be taken into consideration during the selection process. All funds support Horizons for Homeless Children’s mission to provide homeless children with opportunities to learn, play, and thrive.

Please be aware that if a runner is unable to reach the $9,000 minimum for any reason, Horizons for Homeless Children is required to charge the remaining balance on that runner’s credit card.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

Because of the limited number of participants allowed into this program, it is important that the applicant clearly understand the guidelines and is committed to this philanthropic agreement. We require each runner raise a minimum of $9,000 by Friday, May 18th, 2018. All funds must be raised, collected by participants, and postmarked by this date. Runners are also responsible for the $375 Boston Marathon registration fee required by the B.A.A due by January 5th, 2018.

I have read the above guidelines and I hereby guarantee that, if selected as a member of the 2018 Run for Homeless Children team, I will raise a minimum of $9,000 for Horizons for Homeless Children, the minimum fundraising requirement for the 2018 program. Should I be unable to meet this goal for any reason, my signature below indicates that Horizons for Homeless Children has my permission to charge the remaining balance to my card number, provided upon acceptance to the team.
