Dear Friend,
In Massachusetts, 1 in 24 children
under the age of six experiences homelessness. That number is staggering. All month long, we’ve been shining a
spotlight on these statistics by sharing statistics on our social media channels
as part of National Homelessness Awareness month.
But the situation is far from
hopeless. Progress is being made at the state level to ensure that families are
no longer the invisible homeless. As Governor Baker put it, “Horizons has
always been a leader, trendsetter and trailblazer with respect to the way it
has worked with kids facing the traumatic experience of homelessness.”
Our work continues to be as
important as ever. We’re excited about the future as we innovate to make social
services delivery more effective and efficient so children and their families
can thrive, no matter their immediate circumstances.
During this season of thankfulness,
we are grateful for your interest and ongoing support of the work we do. We hope
you find this newsletter informative and as always, we welcome your feedback.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

STEAM CURRICULUM ENGAGES AND EDUCATES In
a world that’s becoming increasingly complex, children must be equipped with
the knowledge and skills to solve tough problems, gather and evaluate evidence,
and make sense of information. Even children as young as the ones we serve can benefit from early exposure to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math—collectively known as STEAM. <See More>
